Vidgle Coming to Verizon FiOS?

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

As the leader of the team at Vidgle, we are starting to map out of what will be an interface of Vidgle that we haven’t thought of in the past. And that is Vidgle will start development of the Vidgle Widget for Widget Bazaar on Verizon FiOS. The Widget Bazaar is a marketplace of applications made available on a user’s television set-top box. The coding development will be interacting with the new improved API that we launched back in September. At the moment, a Vidgle App for the iPhone is in development and is expected to launch by quarter 2 of 2010. The development is expecting to start in the beginning of quarter 1 of 2010 and the launch date is unconfirmed.

When the Vidgle Widget launches on Verizon FiOS, over 8.2 million subscribers of the service will be able to access the widget.

New Semester, New Problems

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Well my sixth, I think, semester started last week and for some reason I’m not too comfortable. First, I am not happy with my journalism class, and my schedule is all screwy. I guess that’s life, especially with a good station like mine to operate on the side.

Well, since early this year, we’ve been having bandwidth problems (aka internet problems). The internet has been going slower, causing buffering issues on the station to occur more often then usually, especially when someone else uses the internet on our network. We are currently looking for a seperate ISP line for the station so this won’t happen, mostly this will be replaced by the new Verizon FiOS service.
