Should I Call it the S.L.U.T.?

Monday, September 24th, 2007

We all know B.A.R.T.! No, not Bart Simpson, the Bay Area Rapid Transit of San Francisco. Now we have a new transit nickname, S.L.U.T., which stands for South Lake Union trolley. “People can call it whatever they want as long as they ride it,” said Mayor Greg Nickels of Seattle. The new trolley system cost nearly $50 million that connects from South Lake to downtown Seattle. According to interviewers on NBC affiliate KING-TV, they said that the nickname came from crew and workers of the trolley system.

And at a local coffee shop located near the trolley are selling T-Shirts saying to “Ride the S.L.U.T.” which have been going by the thousands. Only if I can get one for my good friend Jenn, I know that she’ll find it hilarious!

You can read an article from MSNBC and a video from KING here.

OMG: I Got Mario DDR!

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Yesterday, I was able to get Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix at the mall for $50 (w/o the mat), not on Ebay for $250. As some of you may be aware, Mario DDR is hard game to find in stores, and the possible way is to get it used. My game is used and worked alright when I popped it in to my Wii. I already had the Mat that I got through Nintendo.

Since the new DDR game for the Wii is coming out this week, I’m going to get my second Mat with that game, since it is going to be plugging in the Gamecube slot, just like Mario DDR.
Some of my friends who are big Nintendo fans are very jealous of me because now I have the game and they don’t.

Finally, I would like to give a big thanks to Fred, who discovered Mario DDR at the mall while we were hanging out with Jen, Jesse, Jon, Merideth, and Diesel.

Next Stop: Manga Next

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

The next convention for me is Manga Next! I will be going with the typical folks, Jen, Sarah, Fred, Jon, Louis, Chris, Meredith, Jessee, and the rest of the group. I will be staying in Louis’s room with 9 other people. If I can’t survive that room, I won’t do it again; I rather stay in my own room.

I am not sure if I will be cosplaying as Mario for the con. I will be bringing the stuff, but might not wear. I am trying to organize my next costume, hoping to be a Pokemon Diamond or Pearl character.

The last convention was Otakon, which was a great weekend, with some minor setbacks. I hope that the weekend will be good. More details to come!

No Birthday Plans For Me

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

Although my birthday is two months away, I want to let people know I am planning to do nothing for my birthday. After an incident at my birthday party last year, I just want to be by myself on my birthday. I just want to have my birthday as a typical Sunday, the day when my birthday falls on of course. If you want to have a (surprise) birthday party for me that is not on my birthday, feel free to plan one. I just want my birthday to be what I promised myself last year.
I will be 20 on November 11.

My College Schedule: Fall 2007

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

Sorry everyone that I haven’t written in my blog for a month. The past month was nothing but hectic, but I’ll explain later.

I was able to survive the first week of college, which is basically one day. Thats right, four classes, all in one day, twice a week. Many people were like “You should be happy” or “that sucks.” Well, I’m on the suck side. Yea, its good not to be at school all week, but imagine all the work I have to get done. Basically, I hate the schedule, but I hope to get used to it.

I’m going to be at the school anyway on Mondays – Thursdays. I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I’ll be arriving around 10:30-12:00 and work at the radio station. So you will be to catch me there on those days.
So here is my college schedule for the fall semester: (more…)
