Jen is organizing “Screw Prom Day” since she doesn’t want to go the prom (who else doesn’t want to go to the prom). Since my prom stunk, (as mentioned in my previous entry) Jen and myself are inviting anyone we can to the “Screw Prom Day” at Adventureland in Farmingdale, the only place thats open late till 11PM. Screw Prom Day is on Thursday, June 21, 2007, times are unaware at this time. We are unsure if we doing anything else before or after the time being at Adventureland. We might hangout at the WRAJ Studios or go bowling, so please give us suggestions.
Well my prom picture is up on WNBC’s website and could be seen on WNBC in the upcoming week. Tell you the truth, I didn’t enjoy my prom. I wished I could of have had more fun!
That is the new slogan for WRAJ Internet Radio HD, the first website in high-definition. “I’m in HD, we’re in HD.” And guess what, I created it, the first website in HD. Now I feel so special, creating something that hasn’t been out yet. So, if you have an HD monitor, try it out by going to www.wrajradio.com . If you need assistance if you are not getting the site in HD, enter the WRAJKeyword “HD” on the homepage, and there will be instructions there to get you going. Sadly, the blogs on the site are not in HD yet to the system complication, but everything else is set in our HD look.
In the upcoming months, we will be producing a new video podcast and TV show which will be filmed in 1080i HD; one show will be AZ Tech Talk. This is a very exciting move for us and users and I hope you will enjoy the new experience.
It wasn’t the full weekend, but this week I was able to hang out with Jim and Sarah. Of course Mike didn’t came so that means we actually had ‘FUN.’
Summer is around the corner, you know what that means! I’m expected to be very busy for yet another summer. With the new station project, huge marketing plan for both WRAJ and the new station, and nearly 300 job orders, this is going to be a crazy summer. I am also taking a summer course for college, but its not going to hurt my busy schedule. I am trying to make Fridays my day off for each week, since I will be working on Saturdays and Sundays as well. I hope the entire gang will be coming. There are also summer trips I am trying to go on, such as Otakon in Baltimore; and there are some family trips being planned for Hershey, PA.
In two weeks, there is going to be a huge meeting about a future station showcasing independent and unsigned musicians at Nerd Night. Everyone loves the idea; the station is suppose to start in July but won’t get a huge attention till October. The station needs at least 150 songs to start off. Not to confuse everyone, this station format will not replace WRAJ, as many thought. You will see announcements on our site about it in the upcoming weeks. This station is planning not to be interfered with that new CRB rates that you see over our website, the station will be working with the musicians.
We’re 4 New York is back on TV! The 1993 marketing campaign for WNBC NBC 4 New York is back in High-Definition! I can’t tell if there is a full version from the 30 second promo that appears at the end of a newscast. The 1993 promo was about 3 minutes and half long with 4 short versions. I guess the slogan NBC 4 HD is getting boring, but WNBC is the only station in New York that has real HD news, unlike WCBS and WABC.
Two more weeks before school is out… then back to school 2 weeks after. The warm weather is coming and I can’t wait for the summer vacation! Of course, I’ll be working very hard this summer! I am expected to work 6 days a week and having a second job at FTC for three times a week.
And did everyone heard? The Afternoon Show is moving to earlier time slot, because of recent complaints from the Nerd Night Crew. The Afternoon Show is planning to start at noon and end at 4. I made the change because of everyone complaining at me when we hang out on Fridays.
I hope listeners won’t mind the new time slot. The new time slot will begin in late June.
New image everyone is loving. Its a new picture on my Myspace ( I hate that site) and Facebook and many people just love it. The picture of me was taken a few years ago at Rockefeller Center after spending a day over there (The picture is in HD but it is not displayed lol) next to a WNBC news van. Since I haven’t used the picture at all, I decided to add the Tower graphics on WNBC to act like I am actually on TV lol. Recently I walked by the same news van during the IBS conference in March and the truck had Christmas lights on it, unfortunately I don’t have a picture of it lol.
