By demand (I’m assuming), there are now more pictures from I-CON in the Photo Gallery on wrajradio.com. Click here to see them.
Videos are still coming as we launch our new Video Gallery section with Video Podcasting technology by the end of this week.
And this Friday for School, Mary and I are going to put on some of our costumes (Mary will wear her ears and I will wear my Mario Hat and bring the Shrooms) and we will wear it to school!
This is my fourth year going (I Think, maybe three) to ICON (I-CON), which I didn’t go last year. This year was pretty fun, and I did cosplay for the first time this year, since I had a few minutes and bucks to make a costume. I dressed up like Mario, from Super Mario Bros. I got a lot of compliments from other guests of the convention and friends. All I need is to get a mustache, which Mary and Jen helped me out; little Chris is willing to sell me the one that used for the Pants skit for $19.99 (I think not!).
Congrats to skit performed by Jen, Sam, Sarah, Amy, Robin, Melissa, and Jeff (known as ‘Ruffles’), which won second place. The recording and audio editing were all done here at the WRAJ Internet Radio studios!
Besides the troubled RIAA and CRB problems bothering my life with WRAJ, I did attend the IBS conference in New York City last weekend. Friday was the fun day, while Saturday was the boring day.
I got into the conference a few minutes late Friday because of parking issues I had the train station. Later, I got into interesting conversations with several other students from different colleges. I stayed at the conference till 6 until I left to go out to eat. I did stay at the same hotel the conference was held that night, and Saturday night as well.
No one from Five Towns went Saturday, besides my friend Rob. I was in several panels on Saturday, After attending several panels on Saturday, I meet up with my sister Jen and friends, Jim and Fred. We went to Rockefeller Plaza later that night and purchased ‘Sorry’ at Toys ‘R Us in Times Square (Why did we get it, I don’t know). Sunday morning, Jim and I went to Top of the Rock and what a great view!
It’s true, the RIAA (Record Industry Association of America) and CRB (Copyright Royalty Board) is trying to increase the rates for streaming royalties that can force thousands of internet radio broadcasts/stations, including WRAJ Internet Radio, to shut down. As of now, the new rates are not in effect and WRAJ Internet Radio will continue to broadcast until any future notices.
The new rates are crazy, I will be paying DOUBLE the amount of royalty fees than a regular AM/FM station.

It has happened before, and it has happened again. Another flood has happened in the basement, especially the WRAJ studio area. Luckily, no equipment was damaged, and no one got hurt. The on-air broadcast stream was not affected. The cause was a drain that failed As of now, there is going to be a meeting sometime next week to avoid floods, likely action will be takin.
It’s time for another game bowling. The score sheets are posted, by clicking here.
